How leakproof underwear works

A practical explanation of the category behind Everdries: absorbent underwear for managing bladder leaks.

An absorbent area inside everyday underwear

For bladder leakage, these garments combine an underwear shape with a built-in absorbent pad that collects urine. Washable versions can be worn again after laundering. The amount they can hold varies by product; the word “leakproof” does not establish a universal capacity.

What it can help with

  • Contain small leaks beyond the protection ordinary underwear provides.
  • Offer an underwear-style option that may support comfort and confidence when fit and absorbency suit the wearer.
  • Provide a reusable option, with time needed for changing, washing and drying.

Match the product to the task

Consider the amount and pattern of leakage, the garment’s fit and its stated capacity together. A capacity figure alone does not show how long a pair will stay comfortable or whether it is suitable overnight. A familiar clothing size does not establish the right fit either.

Use the instructions for the exact garment. If protection is inadequate, do not assume that wearing the same product longer will solve the problem.

Management is different from treatment

Absorbent underwear does not treat the cause of bladder leakage. Seek advice from a clinician or continence professional for new or persistent symptoms. This guide does not diagnose symptoms or recommend a medical treatment.
